Lisa: Today we’re interviewing my good friend and co-founder of TAGG, Leslie Fischer!
Leslie: Thank you! I’m so excited to be here.
Lisa: Leslie excites me. They say you are the sum of your closest 5 and I’m constantly trying to draw her in to be one of my 5, because you’re so cool! And I can relate to you, I think you’re very generous, giving, wonderful person…
Leslie: I’m coming on this show every week!
Lisa: And you’re community minded! And one of the core values here at Re/Max Results is to be generous to others, that’s really important to me. I’m no Mother Teresa, I’m not a saint, but I strive to be better. I want to be generous. And one of the ways that we’ve found to be generous is to use TAGG, I encourage my agents to use TAGG, and I want the whole world to know about it! So Leslie, tell us more.
Leslie: First of all, thank you, you know how much I love you. TAGG is a mobile app, and really we created it because we wanted to give people every opportunity to give back, pay it forward, using technology that they’re using everyday. I grew up with parents that tithed, they were regular givers…but our generation and the ones below us are not that way. They see more things that are going on, they want to impact more organizations rather than just 1 or 2. But there is so much more need out there. We partner with local businesses who’ve agreed to give back 5% when you shop or dine with them. We’ve created the Workplace Giving, which Re/Max was one of our first businesses…so when all your realtors are out and about, having lunch with clients, they can easily give back which goes into a fund that Re/Max then decides which charity they’re going to give to. And we don’t tell the nonprofits that you’re doing that until you send the check! So they love getting this kind of surprise blessing. For you guys, I know you change charities. We’ve had so many people be so excited to see this pay it forward group of people choosing them.
Lisa: Good! So how do people get the app?
Leslie: So you can download it, it’s free, Together a Greater Good, through GooglePlay or the AppleStore, and it is as simple as snapping a picture of your receipt and choosing which nonprofit you want to support. You don’t have to do it right away, you can upload your receipt within 7 days of your purchase. We’ve got great businesses involved like Car Care if you have to get your car fixed (which is never fun) but those big purchases can make a big difference for the nonprofit you choose.
Lisa: I think this is a brilliant business, I’m so excited to support you and I hope everyone goes out and downloads the TAGG app.
